About ToneVault
ToneVault is a curated library of Bollywood ringtones, designed for one specific kind of listener: the person who treats their phone's ringtone as a small but meaningful piece of self-expression. We are not the largest ringtone site on the internet, and we don't try to be. Instead, we focus narrowly on Hindi film music — the only genre where a single song can compress an entire emotional decade into thirty seconds — and we present each ringtone with the context, audio quality and platform-specific setup guidance that the song deserves.
What we do
We collect, edit and host short MP3 cuts of Bollywood songs — typically 25 to 40 seconds — and pair each one with editorial notes, song metadata, and step-by-step instructions for installing it on Android and iPhone. Every ringtone has an in-page audio player so you can preview before you download. Every ringtone is free. Every download produces a clean MP3 with no embedded advertising or watermarks.
Our library currently contains 588 ringtones spanning Hindi cinema from the 1990s through 2024. We add new ringtones from major film releases regularly, and we go back to older soundtracks to fill in classics that we believe still deserve to ring on someone's phone in 2026.
Why Bollywood ringtones specifically
Bollywood is the only film industry in the world where the soundtrack consistently outperforms the film itself in cultural reach. A movie may forgotten in two years; its title song lives in someone's head for thirty. That permanence is what makes Hindi film music so well-suited to the ringtone format — these are songs people already know, already love, and already associate with specific phases of their lives.
We chose to focus exclusively on this genre rather than build a generic ringtone site for two reasons. First, depth beats breadth. A library of three hundred Bollywood ringtones organised by film, decade, mood and singer is far more useful to a Hindi music fan than a library of fifty thousand random tones across every genre on earth. Second, the editorial layer matters. Knowing that a song was composed by Pritam, sung by Mohit Chauhan, and released in 2007 makes the ringtone meaningful in a way that just hearing a thirty-second clip never can.
How we source our ringtones
Every ringtone is derived from publicly known Hindi film songs. Song metadata — title, film, year, singer, music director, lyricist — is compiled from publicly available music industry references including the Filmfare Awards archive, official soundtrack listings, and standard Hindi cinema discographies. We tag each ringtone by mood and category through editorial review.
Audio previews on this site are short, low-bitrate cuts intended for personal preview and use only. The underlying compositions remain the property of their respective rights holders. We honour all DMCA and copyright takedown requests promptly — see our DMCA page for the formal process.
Who we built this for
ToneVault is for the Hindi music fan who still hand-picks their ringtone. The kind of person who has had the same custom ringtone for their mother for ten years, and only switches it when a new song hits them harder. The person who notices when somebody's phone rings with a Lata Mangeshkar track at a coffee shop and feels a small flicker of recognition. The person who, when buying a new phone, considers the ringtone setup process a tiny but real part of the experience.
If that's you, welcome. Use the search bar, browse by category, or just dive into the home page — you'll find a ringtone you didn't know you needed within five minutes.
Compatibility
All ringtones are encoded as standard MP3 files at 128 kbps stereo. They work natively on every Android phone (Samsung, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Realme, Vivo, Oppo, Motorola, Pixel and others) and on iPhone after a one-time conversion to the .m4r format using GarageBand or any free online converter. Our setup guide walks through both platforms in detail.
