By accessing or using ToneVault, you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These terms govern your use of all pages, content and downloads available at ToneVault.

1. Use of the site

ToneVault grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access the site and download ringtone files for personal, non-commercial use only. Personal use means setting a ringtone as your phone's call tone, alarm, notification sound, or contact-specific tone on a device you own or control.

You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or rebroadcast any audio file downloaded from this site. You may not use any ToneVault content as part of a commercial product or service, including but not limited to: secondary ringtone marketplaces, monetised mobile apps, on-hold music systems, or any public broadcast.

2. Intellectual property

All editorial content on ToneVault — including category descriptions, song write-ups, setup guides and original photography — is copyright ToneVault and may not be reproduced without written permission.

Underlying musical compositions and recordings featured as ringtone previews remain the property of their respective rights holders. ToneVault hosts short, preview-length cuts on a fair-use basis for the purpose of personal evaluation and use. If you are a rights holder requesting removal of any specific ringtone, see our DMCA page.

3. No warranty

ToneVault is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. You use the site and download files at your own risk. We make no warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any information, including song metadata such as release year, singer or composer credits.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ToneVault and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or any downloaded file. This includes, without limitation, loss of data, damage to devices, or any inability to set a ringtone successfully.

5. Acceptable behaviour

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to interfere with the site's normal operation, including via denial-of-service attacks, automated scraping at abusive rates, or attempts to bypass any security measure.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, headless browsers) to mass-download ringtone files. Reasonable, polite scraping for personal archival is fine; abusive bulk downloads are not.
  • Upload or transmit any malicious code through any contact form or input field on the site.
  • Misrepresent your identity when corresponding with the ToneVault team.

6. Third-party links and services

ToneVault may link to third-party sites (e.g. official film soundtrack pages, music industry references, advertising partners). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party site. Your interactions with third parties are governed by their own terms.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least thirty days before taking effect. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

8. Governing law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which ToneVault's primary operations are based, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
